NEWTs are very nearly upon us. I hope everyone is prepared. I know I've been sequestered away to study, but as always, I am available at (practically) any time.

The weather is beginning to get quite lovely. Still, the climate isn't exactly comparable to Messina at this time of year, but at least it's not as soggy as London usually is. It's practically a shame to be cooped up in the castle sitting exams, but I suppose that's how it has to be.

I truly can't wait for the end of term, when I can return to Italy. My winter hols are usually spent at my paternal grandparents' estate in Britain, but I always miss Italy terribly.

I suppose I am a national of both countries, but sometimes I wonder if it isn't like being Muggle-born, and unable to fully fit into either world trying to have a finger in both pies at once, and not truly being able to do it.

Nevertheless, Alessandro had an interesting idea. This summer, he wants for us to visit the Orient together, travel around with no particular plan. I have no idea what my parents have planned, but chances are it'll be work work work. Perhaps travelling with 'Sandro is a good plan.

Still, that can all certainly wait until we're well and truly through with the NEWTs.

Indeed. Sometimes I wonder why I ever left.

My family used to go there during the summer on occasion.

How exciting. Which cities have you been to? I was raised in Florence, near the Italian Ministry, but my mother's family has villas across the country. Much of my childhood was spent searching for good spots to read books.

I've been to Florence, Rome, Venice, Turin, Milan, Alessandria, Verona...many others. My mother was very fond of Italy. My grandparents lived near Ravenna.

Perhaps you ought suggest that exams are held outdoors. I'm sure that would help with concentration and improve scores.

Unfortunately, I doubt that would help. Parchments being blown away, being distracted by the birds chirping...ah well, the exams will be over soon enough.

What are your plans post-Hogwarts?

Youe time are Hogwarts is the best you'll ever have...trust me! Enjoy even the exams. I know that's a hard task at time's, especially if you're thinking of Italy! You'll be back there soon, though, right? So don't worry about that....

Thank you--I'm sure I will miss Hogwarts like mad as soon as I leave, but right now it just seems tedious.

Can't you find something to make things a little more interesting? I know that boredom was something I never let myself get caught up into when I was at that castle!
